The Bountiful Elementary PTA is introducing a new six-week Musical Theater Workshop for students in grades 3–6. According to a notice from the school, the program aims to help students develop foundational performance skills and prepare for the Bountiful Elementary spring musical.
The workshop is scheduled to run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 1 through Oct. 8, 2026. Each week focuses on a different aspect of theater, including overview, acting, singing, dancing, costumes and makeup, and auditioning skills.
Classes are scheduled from 7:40 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with doors opening at 7:30 a.m. The cost for the workshop is $40 per student, which can be paid via check to the Bountiful Elementary PTA or through the PTA's online payment system. Registration forms are due to the Bountiful Elementary front office by Friday, Aug. 28.
The workshop aims to teach students that musical theater involves more than just learning lines, emphasizing listening, collaboration, and communication. Participants are expected to arrive on time with a positive attitude and show respect to instructors and peers.
For families facing financial hardship, the school stated that no student will be excluded due to an inability to pay, and parents should contact the principal for assistance.
