Murray High School held its Spartan Spec event on September 16 at the school's football field.
The event included various performances and student recognitions, according to a notice on the school's website.
Musical performances during the event included the national anthem performed by the Madrigals, as well as field performances by the MHS marching band, drumline, and colorguard.
Dance and spirit routines were provided by the Spartanian drill team, Murray Dance Company, and the cheer team.
Student and athlete showcases included the introduction of royalty candidates and the recognition of fall sports varsity captains.
School traditions featured the MHS fight song and the traditional burning of the M, which was subject to weather conditions.
The event was intended for family, friends, and the community to support students and show Spartan pride.
