The Salt Lake City Arts Council has announced upcoming exhibitions featuring works by multiple artists. The scheduled exhibitions include 'Generative Chamber' and a collaborative presentation by Maddison Colvin and James Talbot.
The 'Generative Chamber' exhibition features Stephanie Leitch, Sri Whipple, and Zak Jensen. According to the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the exhibition explores themes of repetition, the iterative drive of loading information into space, and the body as language. Stephanie Leitch will produce a spatial site-specific installation involving field suspension and text. Sri Whipple will provide gesturally iterative calligraphies on various surfaces, while Zak Jensen will create multimedia paper-based works as a responsive installation.
A second exhibition will pair photographs by James Talbot with drawings by Maddison Colvin. The works focus on themes of place, memory, and archives, observing subjects that take on shape in peripheral vision. The exhibition features images of an elderly man moving through a Los Angeles neighborhood slated for demolition.
The exhibitions are scheduled to run from Nov. 2 through Dec. 18, 2026. Scheduled events include an opening reception on Nov. 6 and Salt Lake Gallery Strolls on Nov. 20 and Dec. 4.
