The Payson City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on September 30, 2026, to discuss Proposition #1, according to a September 14 notice from the City Recorder's Office. The hearing will address the renewal of the Parks, Arts, Recreation, & Culture (PARC) local sales and use tax.
The proposed Proposition #1 involves the renewal of the PARC tax at a rate of 1/10 of 1 percent, which is equivalent to 1 cent for every $10.00 spent. The renewal would be for a period of ten years.
The Special City Council Meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The meeting will be held at the Payson City Center in the Council Chambers, located at 439 W Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah, and will also be available virtually via Zoom Video Communications.
