Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are currently in effect at East Canyon State Park, prohibiting all open fires of any kind. This restriction includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any other ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve may be used, provided they are positioned in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren of flammable vegetation.
The park's current day-use parking is reported as normal and day-use facilities are open. The water level is at 67 percent with a temperature of 69 degrees, and conditions include open water.
All docks are in and accessible for the spring/summer season. Boat decontamination services are available by appointment only from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. Additionally, the fish cleaning station is open for the season.
Regarding accommodations, Dixie Campground is open with all water turned on, and Big Rock Campground is also open.
Campsites are available for reservation up to four months in advance. Any remaining sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis after 2pm on the day of arrival. Group site reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance.
