Dear Spring Creek Families,
I am excited to announce that Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is bringing a full musical theatre program to Spring Creek Elementary this fall! Students in grades 3–6 are invited to join the cast or technical crew of Giants in the Sky.
Giants in the Sky is a fun, imaginative musical about courage, friendship, belonging, and discovering what you are capable of doing. It includes many speaking, singing, dancing, and ensemble roles, so there are opportunities for students with different interests and experience levels. The program is free, and no previous theatre experience is needed.
About the Director:
My name is Kirsti Kirkland, and I am the Director of Musical Theatre Programs for Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County. I earned a bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts Education from BYU, hold a current Utah teaching license in secondary theatre, and have completed an Elementary Theatre Endorsement. I have directed plays and musicals at Provost Elementary for the past 11 years, usually with casts of 60–75 students. My goal is to create a program where every student is valued, challenged, and given meaningful opportunities to contribute.

At the end of the form, you will be asked if you are registering for the musical. Select “Yes,” and the form will take you to all the information about auditions, rehearsals, and performances.

Audition Practice Materials
Because we have a shorter rehearsal period this fall, regular attendance will be very important. Please list any known conflicts on the registration form. Students who miss more than three rehearsals without an approved excuse may be removed from their assigned role or the production.
Musical theatre is a wonderful place for students who already love performing, but it can also be especially valuable for students who are shy, want to build confidence, or are looking for a place to belong. We work hard, support one another, and have a lot of fun creating something together.
We would love to have your student join us for Giants in the Sky!
Please contact us with any questions.
