Stage 2 fire restrictions have been implemented, prohibiting all open fires of any kind. This ban includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and the use of ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded portable camp stoves using gas or liquid fuel are permitted provided they have a shut-off valve and are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren and free of flammable vegetation.
The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail is also experiencing closures due to ongoing construction. The trail is closed from Creamery Lane to 100 North in Coalville.
This closure is expected to remain in place until late spring of 2026. Travelers are advised to seek an alternate route in this area.
