A leaked video from 2023 showing Taylor Frankie Paul throwing metal bar stools at her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen, has sparked controversy. The footage, released by TMZ on March 19, depicts the incident occurring while Paul's daughter, Indy, was near Mortensen in the room.
A spokesperson for Paul responded to the leak, stating that the release of the old video is part of a destructive campaign to harm Paul. The spokesperson claimed the video omits context and was released on their son's birthday as an attempt to distract from Mortensen's own behavior.
The incident follows a domestic violence investigation conducted by the Draper City Police Department in Utah. As a result of that investigation, production for Paul's show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, was paused on March 16.
ABC pulled Paul's season of The Bachelorette days before its scheduled March 22 debut. Paul had previously been announced as a star for Season 22 of the program in September.
