The Midvale Senior Center released a calendar for September 2026 outlining a variety of scheduled activities, including fitness classes, entertainment, and educational workshops, according to a report published August 28.
Entertainment and social events scheduled for the month include musical performances by Whistling Rufus on Tuesday, September 8, the West Jordan Senior Band on Thursday, September 10, and Chris Dokos on Tuesday, September 22. Other social activities include a Book Club meeting on Tuesday, September 8, and a Poker Tournament on Friday, September 18. A Farmers’ Market is scheduled for Thursday, September 17 at 11:00 AM.
Educational and community workshops include a session on preparing gardens for spring led by master gardener Alex Morris on Monday, September 14. On Tuesday, September 15, the center will host an AARP Smart Driver class from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Other educational offerings include a session on the Mothman Mystery on Tuesday, September 8 and a class titled Healing Broken Trust on Thursday, September 10. Additionally, Valley Behavioral Health will host a Spanish-language class, Cómo Vivir Con Propósito, on Thursday, September 3.
Fitness and recreational options include various yoga, pickleball, and line dancing sessions held throughout the week. The center also offers open studio sessions for pottery and painting. The facility will be closed on Monday, September 7, for Labor Day, and will close early at 12:30 PM on Thursday, September 17, for a staff retreat.
The Midvale Senior Center is located at 7550 South Main Street (700 West) and is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
