The Summit County Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, according to a notice posted August 29. The meeting will be held both electronically via Zoom and in person at the Richins Auditorium located at 1885 W. Ute Blvd. in Park City.
The scheduled proceedings begin at 1:00 PM with a site visit to the PEAK Center at 6301 North Landmark Drive in Park City. Following the visit, a closed session regarding property acquisition is scheduled for 1:50 PM.
A work session will follow, starting at 2:55 PM. The agenda for this session includes a presentation from Javier H. Alegre, Executive Director of Jacky's Recovery Support Services, and discussions regarding a new full-time position for the Department of Motor Vehicle. The Council will also consider Ordinance No. 1016, which involves amendments to the Snyderville Basin Development Code.
The meeting includes a 90-minute discussion regarding the possible revocation of a Conditional Use Permit for a recycling facility and nursery/greenhouse located at 7550 W. Lower Bowl Road.
Public hearings are scheduled for 6:00 PM. One hearing concerns a rezoning request for the Crossroads at Silver Creek, which involves a master planned development for townhomes, apartments, affordable housing, and retail space. A second public hearing will address a master planned development for the Junction Commons, a mixed-use redevelopment project located at 6699 N. Landmark Dr. in Kimball Junction.
