The Summit County Council is scheduled to meet on September 2, 2026, according to a notice published August 29. The meeting will be held both electronically via Zoom and in person at Richins Auditorium in Park City.
The scheduled agenda includes a site visit to the PEAK Center at 6301 North Landmark Drive in Park Utah at 12:15 PM, followed by a closed session regarding property acquisition. A work session is set to begin at 2:50 PM, featuring a presentation from Javier H. Alegre, Executive Director of Jacky's Recovery Support Services.
During the work session, the Council will consider several items, including Board of Equalization recommendations and a proposal to add a full-time position to the Department of Motor Vehicle. Additionally, the Council will discuss Ordinance No. 1016, which pertains to amendments to the Snyderville Basin Development Code. The session also includes a possible conditional use permit revocation for a recycling and nursery facility located at 7550 W. Lower Bowl Road.
Public hearings are scheduled for 6:00 PM to address specific development projects. These include a rezoning request for the Crossroads at Silver Creek from Rural Residential to Community Commercial and Master Planned Development, which would include townhomes, apartments, affordable housing, and retail space. The Council will also hold a hearing regarding a Master Planned Development for the Junction Commons mixed-use redevelopment project located at 6699 N. Landmark Dr in Kimball Junction.
