Stage 2 Fire Restrictions have been implemented at Fred Hayes State Park at Starvation. Under these restrictions, there are no open fires of any kind allowed, which includes fires within an established fire pit, charcoal grills, pellet grills, or any use of ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves are permitted provided they have a shut-off valve and are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren with no flammable vegetation.
Fred Hayes State Park at Starvation features the waters of Starvation Reservoir, which provides opportunities for boating and fishing.
The park offers several camping options, including two developed campgrounds and four primitive campgrounds. Visitors can also access a 3D archery course, disc golf, slacklines, geocaching, and nearby trails for off-highway vehicle use.
