The Redevelopment Agency of Murray City scheduled a meeting for August 18, 2026, to discuss several items including housing assistance and property updates, according to a public notice published August 11.
The meeting is set for 6:00 p.m. MDT at the Murray City Council Chambers located at 10 East 4800 South in Murray, Utah.
A primary action item on the agenda involves a resolution to approve an agreement with Salt Lake Neighborhood Housing Services, doing business as NeighborWorks Salt Lake. The agreement would involve a $531,250 contribution from the agency's affordable housing set-aside funds.
Of that total, $375,000 is designated for down payment assistance, while $156,250 is intended for home improvement loans and grants for qualifying households. According to the notice, these funds are to be used for properties within Murray City.
The meeting will also include several discussion items presented by officials. Chad Wilkinson is scheduled to present updates regarding the Murray Chapel property renovation, the Old City Hall site, and potential future use of the RDA-owned property at 4868 South Box Elder Street for a fire department training facility. Wilkinson will also provide an update on future RDA project areas.
The meeting will also feature a presentation by Elvon Farrell regarding the proposed agreement with NeighborWorks Salt Lake. In addition, the board will consider updates on the Old City Hall site.

The Redevelopment Agency of Murray City and NeighborWorks Salt Lake have maintained a collaborative relationship since at least May 2011 to support housing goals and neighborhood revitalization through increased home ownership.
