A 28-year-old man was fatally stabbed by a recent acquaintance in Springville, according to reports from the Springville Police Department.
Officers responded to a residence at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Saturday and found the victim with stab wounds. The man was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, where he later passed away.
Following an investigation by officers and detectives, authorities arrested 23-year-old Jaxson Clift of Bluffdale.
Clift was booked into the Utah County Jail. He faces charges including aggravated murder, aggravated assault, obstruction of justice, and criminal mischief.
The investigation into the circumstances that led to the stabbing is ongoing.
