The Provo Fire community is grieving after a devastating flash flood took the lives of Spencer Long, his wife Katrina, and their sons Reid, Thayne, and Gage.
Bree Nielson has organized a fundraiser to support Lydia, who lost her family members in the tragedy and now faces the challenge of moving forward.
The funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign are intended to cover funeral and memorial expenses, housing, daily living costs, and counseling.
As Lydia works toward rebuilding her life, the donations will also assist with other unexpected expenses resulting from the loss.
The fundraiser has raised over $72,000 of its $100,000 goal from more than 1,000 donors. The organizer noted that while money cannot replace the family lost, community support can help ease the financial burdens Lydia carries.
