The Town of Lynndyl is accepting letters of interest from qualified residents to fill vacancies on the Lynndyl Town Council and the Planning & Zoning commission, according to a September 5 statement.
Applicants must meet several criteria to be considered for the positions. Candidates must be United States citizens, at least 18 years old, and registered voters within the municipality. Additionally, applicants must have been a resident of the municipality or a recently annexed area for 12 consecutive months.
In accordance with the Utah Constitution, individuals convicted of treason, a felony, or a crime against the elective franchise, as well as mentally incompetent individuals, are ineligible to hold office until their right to hold elective office is restored under Section 20A-2-101.3 or 20A-2-101-5.
Interested individuals may submit a letter of interest to the attention of the Town Clerk at lynndyl.clert@gmail.com. The deadline to apply is October 4, 2026.
The council was scheduled to hold an open meeting and interview applicants on October 7, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at 98 E Center Street, Lynndyl, UT 84640.
