The Pleasant Grove City Council is scheduled to hold a work session and regular meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The meeting will begin with a work session at 4:30 p.m., followed by the regular session at 6:00 p.m., held in the Community Room at 108 S 100 E, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
During the work session, Director Zollinger is scheduled to lead a discussion regarding pool hours adjustments. The council will also engage in budget discussions and review staff business.
The regular meeting agenda includes several items for consideration under consent, including payments for various infrastructure projects. These include payment No. 12 to FX Construction for the American Fork River Diversion Reconstruction Project, payment No. 2 to Condie Construction Co., LLC for the 800 North Area Waterline, Drainage and Roadway Reconstruction Project, and a change order for the same project. Additionally, the council will consider payment No. 21 to HydroVac Excavation for the Pressurized Irrigation Meters Installation Project.
A significant portion of the meeting will focus on the upcoming fiscal year budget. Director Roy is scheduled to present information regarding the Budget Officer's intent to state that the tentative budget includes a proposed property tax rate increase. The council will consider several resolutions related to the adoption of a tentative budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. These include resolutions regarding the property tax rate increase, a property tax impact statement, compliance with Truth-in-Taxation notice requirements, and the intent to consider a tax rate that exceeds the Certified Tax Rate.
The meeting will also feature presentations for a Justserve City Certificate and an award recognition for the Pleasant Grove Library. Following the regular City Council Meeting, an RDA and LBA meeting is scheduled to take place. The public is invited to attend the meeting at the 108 S 100 E location.
