Pleasant Grove City scheduled a public hearing for August 18, 2026, to consider adopting the city's Final Budget for FY 2026-2027. The hearing will include a session for public comment regarding a proposed increase in property tax revenue.
The proposed tax increase would result in Pleasant Grove City receiving an additional $365,667 in property tax revenue annually. If approved, the city would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 8.72% above the previous year's budgeted revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
Under the proposal, the tax on a $602,000 residence would rise from $310.57 to $337.72, an increase of $27.15 per year. For a $602,000 business, the tax would increase from $564.68 to $614.04, representing a yearly increase of $49.36.
The public hearing was scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room located at 108 S 100 E, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Citizens have the option to participate in the hearing either in person or online.
