The Payson City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing during a Special City Council Meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. According to a September 15 notice, the meeting will take place at the Payson City Center, Council Chambers, located at 439 W Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah, and virtually via Zoom.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public input concerning Proposition #1. This proposition involves the renewal of the Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture (PARC) local sales and use tax. The proposed tax is 1/10 of 1 percent, which is equivalent to 1 cent for every $10.00 spent, for a period of ten years.
