Bear Lake State Park has implemented Stage 2 fire restrictions, meaning no open fires of any kind are permitted. This prohibition includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and other ash-producing fuels.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve may be used provided they are placed in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren and contains no flammable vegetation.
Park roads and several day-use locations remain open. The Marina, First Point, and Cisco Beach are open year-round, while Rendezvous Beach is scheduled to remain open until approximately the third week of October. Rainbow Cove and the Eden areas (North and South) are open until approximately October 31.
Launch ramp conditions vary by location. While ramps at the Marina, First Point, Cisco Beach, and Rainbow Cove are open, officials advise against launching boats at Rendezvous Beach due to low lake elevation. Use of the Cisco Beach launch ramp is at the user's own risk, and a 4WD vehicle is highly recommended for that location. A 4WD vehicle is also recommended if launching at Rendezvous Beach.
Construction is currently ongoing for the Bear Lake Marina expansion project. Officials stated they are working with the contractor to minimize impacts on existing marina operations.
Campground availability remains open across several sites. Rendezvous Beach campgrounds, including Big Creek, Birch, Cottonwood, and Willow, offer full hook-up and tent sites, with reservations highly recommended through Labor Day Weekend. South and North Eden campgrounds also offer partial hook-up and tent sites, with similar reservation recommendations for the period through Labor Day.
Cisco Beach offers primitive campsites on a first-come, first-served basis, and Sunset at Rainbow Cove provides semi-primitive sites with shade shelters, picnic tables, and fire rings.
Recent environmental conditions show the lake elevation is currently at 5914.25 feet. Air temperatures over the past week have seen daytime highs ranging from the low 80s to the high 80s, with overnight lows between the mid 50s and mid 60s. The lake surface remains open with no ice present.
