Stage 2 fire restrictions are currently in effect at Jordanelle State Park, prohibiting all forms of open fires. This ban includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any fuel that produces ash.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve remain permitted, provided they are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren of flammable vegetation.
The park's water level is currently recorded at 71.16% with a water temperature of 70 degrees. Regarding boat ramps, courtesy docks are available at the main boat ramp and PWC area. However, the Rock Cliff ramp is out of the water and is not recommended for watercraft larger than 16 feet.
The Ross Creek non-motorized boat ramp is also out of the water. Visitors using the Rock Cliff area are advised to use caution and avoid parking in the middle of the roadway or driving off the roadway, as vehicles that become stuck may receive citations for off-road use.
All campgrounds are open and require reservations made at least two days in advance. For the period between May 1 and October 31, all reservable sites require bookings.
Regarding aquatic invasive species prevention, visitors must self-decontaminate if they have visited contaminated waters such as Lake Powell. Simple vessels like sailboats or paddle boards require a seven-day dry time during summer, while more complex boats with ballast tanks or unverified motors require 30 days of dry time or professional decontamination.
Construction is currently taking place outside the park boundaries near Hailstone, and noise from this work will likely be audible within the park. Park staff noted that they are actively seeking solutions for ongoing camera connectivity issues.
Anglers should note that spearfishing is closed, and there is a statewide alert that anglers may not possess kokanee salmon from September 10 through November 30.
