As we all know by now, President Trump wants to build a 90,000-square-foot ballroom to replace the former East Wing of the White House, now in ruins. Why has this sent political pundits into a frenzy? After all, shouldn’t the White House have a lavish party space to entertain foreign dignitaries and other bigwigs?
