An application has been submitted to the Oakley City Planning Commission to amend the plat for Lot 2 of the Elkhorn Ranch Subdivision, according to a staff report dated August 5, 2026.
The request, submitted by Allison Silverman, proposes adding an additional building envelope on the north end of the lot to allow for the construction of an accessory personal recreation building.
The proposed amendment includes considerations regarding environmental zones. While the new building envelope is not located within a FEMA floodway, it is situated within a FEMA floodplain. Consequently, the building would be required to be constructed 1 foot above the base flood elevation.
According to the report, the request includes the unanimous written consent of the owner-members of the Elkhorn Ranch HOA. Under Oakley City Code 13-5-11-A-3, the Planning Commission serves as the land use authority for subdivision plat amendments that involve building pad adjustments or other amendments that do not affect a public or private road.
