The Big Sky Kickoff Weekend returns to the Inland Northwest for the eighth time since 2018. The expanded event, scheduled for July 24-27 at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Airways Heights, Washington, will host a variety of conference participants including student-athletes, head coaches, assistant coaches, administrators, and media.
The weekend includes several key programming components. For the second consecutive year, the league will hold its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Summer Meeting starting Friday, July 24. This gathering features members from all 11 current full member institutions and includes media training and community service initiatives.
On Saturday, July 25, a free youth football clinic will take place at North Central High School from 2:30-3:45 p.m. PT, led by student-athletes from the conference's 13 football teams. That evening, the Big Sky Hall of Fame Gala will honor eight inductees, including Weber State alumni Amber Henry and Willie Sojourner.
Sunday's schedule features educational sessions focused on Name, Image and Likness opportunities, alongside the return of Big Sky U, a program designed to assist 13 assistant coaches in preparing for future head coaching roles.
The event concludes Monday, July 27, with the Commissioner's State of the Conference Address streaming live on Facebook at 8:00 a.m. PT. This will be followed by four hours of live coverage on ESPN+ and select Scripps Sports stations, featuring interviews with representatives from all 13 football programs and Commissioner Tom Wistrcill.
