Real Salt Lake has loaned Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji to SK Beveren of the Belgian Pro League for the remainder of the 2026/27 season, according to a September 4 statement.
Olatunji, a 26-year-old forward from Lagos, Nigeria, arrived in Utah in the summer of 2025 via a permanent transfer from Sparta Prague. During his time with the Major League Soccer side, he appeared in 28 matches and scored five goals.
Olatunji's lone goal of 2026 occurred on March 22 in San Diego, where his 85th-minute equalizer secured a point in a match that RSL initially led 1-0.
Last fall, the forward scored four goals in nine appearances, which included a brace in a 2-2 draw at St. Louis on Decision Day.
Real Salt Lake was scheduled to host Western Conference rival Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) on Saturday, Sept. 5.
During the month of September, four of the team's next six matches will be played at America First Field. This season, RSL holds a 10-2-2 record at the venue across all competitions, while maintaining an 18-5-4 mark in Sandy since June 1, 2025.
