Pleasant Grove City announced a proposal to increase property tax revenue, which would result in an additional $365,667 in annual revenue if approved. The proposed budget would increase the city's property tax budgeted revenue by 8.72% above the previous year's budgeted revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
Under the proposal, the tax on a $602,000 residence would increase from $310.57 to $337.72, representing a yearly increase of $27.15. For a $602,000 business, the tax would rise from $564.68 to $614.04, an increase of $49.36 per year.
