Payson Main Street between 500 South and 700 South is expected to reopen to through traffic following the removal of traffic control devices by September 2, 2026, according to a September 1 statement.
The contractor is scheduled to remove and demobilize all existing traffic control devices by September 2, 2026. When crews resume work on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, there will not be a full road closure. Traffic barrels and safety cones will be used to delineate active work zones to allow residents and commuters to pass through freely.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution and remain mindful that the corridor remains an active construction zone while crews finalize remaining landscape and sidewalk improvements.
