Horizon Elementary is seeking a TA III Special Education Para-educator to join its school special education team. The position is a part-time hourly role consisting of 28 hours per week and includes retirement benefits.
The responsibilities for this role include serving as a teaching assistant or para-educator working with students who have various disabilities, such as physical, cognitive, and mild or moderate disabilities.
The district is looking for candidates who may possess experience in math, reading, and behavior interventions. Other desired qualifications include tutoring experience, participation in a college teacher preparation program, sign language experience, or experience working with students requiring extensive support needs.
The salary range for new employees to the district is between $18.71 and $21.41, depending on education and experience. For current district employees, the pay range is $18.71 to $27.04 based on years of service with the district.
