Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are now in effect at Frontier Homestead State Park Museum, prohibiting all open fires of any kind. This includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and the use of ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve remain allowed, provided they are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren and contains no flammable vegetation.
The museum offers exhibits on the pioneer and early industrial history of Cedar City, Iron County, and southwest Utah. Visitors can view a horse-drawn wagon collection, historic buildings, a sawmill, a replica blast furnace, and a Native Heritage exhibit.
Interpretive programs and hands-on activities are held throughout the year, including seasonal events, Sheep-to-Shawl, and Iron Mission Days.
