North Ogden police are investigating a death following a traffic stop Wednesday evening, according to a report published August 20.
North Ogden Police Department officers, with assistance from surrounding agencies, stopped a vehicle around 7:15 p.m. in the area of 300 East and 2550 North.
The vehicle was stopped in connection with a criminal offense that occurred in another jurisdiction, according to the department news release.
The North Ogden Police Department is conducting a death investigation involving what police described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officials stated there is no threat to the public.
