A planned overnight closure was scheduled for US-89/91 in Wellsville on Thursday, Sept. 10, according to a September 8 statement. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) scheduled the closure between Main Street (SR-101) and Center Street (SR-23) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, to relocate an overhead variable message sign (VMS).
Daytime construction was expected to remain in place during the project. Drivers were advised to use Main Street (SR-101) and Center Street (SR-23) as a detour through Wellsville. Officials stated that drivers should follow the posted detour route and adhere to local speed limits.
The RCUT project was scheduled for completion in mid-September. Construction schedules were subject to change.
