Southern Utah University has been recognized as one of the nation's highest performing colleges and universities for student satisfaction. This recognition follows a period of various institutional milestones and community engagements in Cedar City.
The university's campus has seen several developments, including the opening of the Joe and Beverly Burgess Family Business Center. Additionally, the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts recently marked a decade of operation with music, exhibits, and events.
Other recent campus developments include the opening of a new geothermal exhibit, titled Energy Beneath Our Feet, at the Frehner Museum of Natural History. The university also recently hosted the 127th annual Commencement Ceremony to honor the Class of 2026.
In addition to academic milestones, the university has engaged in community service through an annual Day of Service and has seen growth in various specialized programs, such as the Master of Science in Business Analytics, which has expanded to offer a comprehensive in-person option.
