The Pleasant Grove City Council will convene for a work session and regular meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The work session is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room located at 108 S 100 E, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
The upcoming work session agenda includes a budget discussion, staff business, and a discussion regarding the Watering Incentive Program led by Daniel Cárdenas.
The regular meeting will feature several public hearing items presented by Director Cárdenas. These include proposed ordinances to amend fencing standards, changes to building height definitions in rural and single-family residential zones, and a request for a new overlay zone known as the Springs District Overlay (SDO) Zone. The SDO Zone proposal, submitted by applicant Julie Smith, seeks to allow for Planned Unit Developments with clustered residential units.
Additionally, the council will consider multiple zone changes involving St. John Properties, including the removal of the Valley Grove Mixed Use Overlay from approximately 4.5 acres and the application of a Grove Business Park Overlay to 2.9 acres at 877 South Mountain View Lane, as well as another change for 0.74 acres at 1018 South 1300 West.
Action items scheduled for a vote include a resolution authorizing a development agreement with Valley Grove IV, LLC for a flex space development near North County Boulevard and 1300 West. The council will also consider local authority consent for a retail alcohol license for Longhorn Steakhouse #5374 located at 1008 S. North County Blvd, and a resolution regarding a reimbursement agreement with Cyprus Federal Credit Union for roadway infrastructure improvements near 545 South Pleasant Grove Blvd.
The meeting agenda also includes presentations to recognize the PGHS Esports Team State Champions, the PGHS Marching Band State Champions, the UGFOA Triple Crown Presentation, and an award recognition for the Pleasant Grove Library.
The council will also consider appointments for Geoff Gregson and Brett Robertson as alternate members of the Pleasant Grove City Planning Commission. The meeting is open to the public, though officials noted that work sessions are not designed for public comment or official action.
