Wasatch Mountain State Park is under Stage 2 Fire Restrictions, which prohibit all open fires of any kind. This includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any other ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve are permitted, provided they are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren of flammable vegetation.
Various areas within the park remain open for use. At Soldier Hollow, both the Soldier Hollow Loop and the Chalet Loop are open. Within the Pine Creek Campground, the Cottonwood Loop and Oak Hollow Loop are also open.
In contrast, several locations including Pine Canyon, Tibble Fork, Snake Creek, Alpine Loop, and Guardsmans Pass are closed for the winter season.
Day-use fees remain in effect year-round. Non-senior visitors can pay $10 per car for up to eight people, while seniors aged 65 and older may pay $5 per car for up to eight people. Fees can be paid at the visitor center or online via parkspass.utah.gov.
The park is currently seeking volunteers and staff. Applications are being accepted for Camp Hosts for the 2026 season, which runs from May through October. Additionally, the visitor center requires two volunteers per day to assist at the front desk during morning or afternoon shifts.
For those interested in lodging, cabin rentals remain available through the winter season via Reserve America, and a cottage option is also available for two adults.
Visitors can utilize new amenities such as the Wasatch Mountain Sauna, an automated communal sauna that can be reserved online. Camping reservations are available up to 16 weeks in advance and are limited to a 14-day stay within a 30-day timeframe.
