Police and EMS personnel assisted with a bear sighting near Twin Hollows Circle in Mapleton, according to a report published August 18.
According to dispatch audio, a drone was utilized to track the animal as it moved near nearby homes.
During the response, responders tracked the bear as it moved through trees east of Twin Hollows Circle. Dispatch audio indicated the drone lost sight of the animal at one point.
In a separate matter mentioned during the dispatch calls, officials assisted with a juvenile who had reportedly run away from state custody in Orem.
