Lehi residents of all ages are invited to participate in the fifth annual Lehi Serves event on Saturday, Sept. 12, to aid the community and help neighbors, according to a report published August 25.
The 2026 Lehi Day of Service is organized by the community nonprofit Lehi Serves, which was founded in 2022. The event features outdoor service projects from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., including grounds improvement at the Lehi Legacy Center and Sports Park, as well as other projects organized throughout the city.
Indoor service projects will be held at Willowcreek Middle School from 9 a.m. to noon. Planned activities include stuffing teddy bears, assembling food kits, and cutting and tying blankets. Photography volunteers are also sought to capture the event.
The event is scheduled to conclude at noon at Willowcreek with a ceremony to honor local service heroes with the Lehi City Service of Excellence Award. Abby Hughes, a founding member of the Lehi Serves Coalition, stated that the event feels extra special because it coincides with the 250th year celebrating America.

The 9/11 Day of Service is the largest annual day of charitable service in the United States, intended to turn the September 11 anniversary into a day of community unity and support for local non-profits.
