The 13th annual Lehi Heritage Day was scheduled to take place this Saturday from 2:30-6 p.m., according to a August 26 report. The free community event was set to feature activities on the lawn in front of the Lehi Legacy Center as well as on the grounds and inside the Lehi Civic Center to celebrate Lehi's history and citizens.
The festivities were scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. with the Showcase Parade, which featured the Lehi Heritage Day 2026 honorees recognized for their service to the Lehi community. The parade was set to travel on Center Street from Wines Park to the Legacy Center.
An Honoree Program was scheduled for 3 p.m. under a tent in front of the Legacy Center, where honorees would be presented with names to be engraved in the Lehi Heritage Day Monument. Following this, an Honoree Reception was scheduled from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Dry Creek Room on the first floor of the Civic Center.
From 4-6 p.m., the Lehi Heritage Day Classic Car, Bike and Tractor Show was scheduled for the Lehi Civic Center west parking lot at 153 N. 100 East, alongside five food trucks. Additionally, the Lehi Historical Marker Quest was scheduled from 4-6 p.m. as part of the theme "Experience the Story."
The Lehi Historical Marker Quest allowed attendees to visit displays at historical markers to collect drawing tickets. Lara Bangerter, director of the Lehi Historical Society, stated that the drawings pay homage to the Gift-o-Rama that many Lehi citizens remember. Participants could also receive extra tickets for providing in-person photos at historical markers.
Available prizes for the drawings included a $100 Costco gift card, Thanksgiving Point Megaplex movie tickets with a Minky Couture blanket, a Ford Model T Lego set, a steam engine Lego set, an American Girl Doll Kirsten Larsen, a KitchenAid mixer, and a $250 Cabela’s gift card.
The Utah Southern Railroad Depot Museum was scheduled to be open and free to enter from 2:30-6 p.m. during the event. The Hutchings Museum was also scheduled to be open for those with a Historical Marker Quest Passport.
Lehi Heritage Day is organized by the Lehi Historical Society and sponsored by Lehi City. The event received support from a PARC grant from Lehi City and donations from SIRQ Construction and Strata Network. Costco, Thanksgiving Point Megaplex, and Cabela’s also donated prizes.
