Tooele City Parks and Recreation has provided updates regarding ongoing maintenance and construction projects at several local parks. These efforts include repairs to pickleball courts at Elton Park and equipment installations at England Acres Park.
The dog park located at England Acres Park, situated at 880 North 400 East, will remain closed through Friday, August 22. This closure allows crews to complete the installation of new agility course equipment and dog toys.
City officials have requested that individuals use extra caution when driving or walking near the park while work is in progress. Signs have been posted around the perimeter fence regarding the ongoing upgrades.
Additionally, repairs are scheduled for the Elton Park pickleball courts. Work on the east side of the courts is slated for August 1 through August 4, 2025, followed by repairs to the west side from August 4 through August 5, 2025.
Further updates for England Acres Park Phase 3 include the installation of new sod, with a request for visitors to stay off the area to allow it time to establish. Residents should also be aware that an increase in construction vehicles is expected along 7th Street on August 1 and August 2 due to a new parking lot project.
Tooele City stated that the Parks Department remains focused on improving existing parks and developing new recreational spaces to ensure safe and accessible areas for residents.
