The Toquerville City Council adopted several ordinances during the summer of 2026, according to an August 20 report. The legislative actions addressed matters ranging from zoning map amendments to city compensation schedules and rental license transfers.
On June 3, 2026, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2026.13, which amended the Toquerville City official zoning map for parcel T-149. On the same day, Ordinance 2026.14 was adopted to establish the Toquerville City compensation schedule for fiscal year 2026-2027.
During a meeting on June 17, 2026, the council passed three ordinances. Ordinance 2026.15 approved a material modification to the Firelight MPDO plan and development agreement concerning roadway cross sections through Addendum No. 2, and authorized the mayor to execute the addendum. Ordinance 2026.16 amended the city code regarding the transfer of nightly rental licenses when a dwelling changes ownership. Ordinance 2026.17 amended regulations and permit requirements related to fencing.
On July 15, 2026, the council adopted Ordinance 2026.18 to amend the official zoning map for parcels T-3-0-22-233 and T-3-0-27-144. Additionally, Ordinance 2026.19 was passed to add provisions for the removal of a Planning Commission member.
