A new summer STEM Camp opportunity has been announced for 4th and 5th grade students within the Provo City School District. This program, created in partnership with Provo City, aims to provide students with an experience similar to Camp Big Springs.
The camp is scheduled to run from June 1 through June 4, 2026. The four-day program will include hands-on activities, lunches, and swag for a cost of $150 per student.
During the camp, students will participate in STEM experiments led by certified school teachers. These activities will take place in various outdoor park spaces, including Big Springs Park, Rock Canyon Park, Delta Gateway Park, and the Provo Recreation Center.
Registration is currently open. Families can register by clicking on the Youth Summer Camp link and searching for STEM Camp (Partnership with Provo School District). The program noted that priority registration during the first week will be given to 5th graders.
The partnership between Provo City School District and Provo City is intended to create a meaningful experience by combining science, exploration, and outdoor fun. Officials encourage interested families of 4th and 5th grade students to register early.
