Centerville Junior High and the Davis School District facilitated a variety of educational initiatives and recognition events during the first half of 2026. These activities ranged from leadership celebrations to student competitions and enrollment opportunities.
Davis School District partnered with Waterford Upstart on June 1, 2026, to provide an on-demand early learning program for PreK children. This program was designed to offer tools, coaching, and resources to support early learning. Additionally, the district opened preschool enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year on February 23, 2026, and offered Dual Language Immersion enrollment for current kindergarten families on February 3, 2026.
Leadership recognition occurred throughout the spring, including Assistant Principals Week on April 8, 2026, and School Principals' Day on May 1, 2026. Students also participated in various events, such as the inaugural Junior High Unified Basketball Tournament on March 26, 2026, which included 12 schools and 24 teams. Centerville Junior High also announced its 2026-2027 Dance Company on April 17, 2026.
Other community and school activities included United for Inclusion Week from March 23 to March 27, 2026, and a youth mental health screening event hosted by Davis HELPS and community partners on March 11, 2026.
