The Utah high school football season is underway, according to a report published August 29. High School On SI released final scores from various locations across the state for games played on August 28.
The scores from August 28 include several notable matchups. In Grand County, Gunnison Valley defeated Grand County with a score of 43 to 6. Other results include Alta defeating Granger 49 to 0 and American Fork beating Timpview 28 to 26. American Leadership Academy secured a 31 to 0 victory over White Pine, while Beaver defeated Emery 50 to 40. Bingham also won with a score of 42 to 0 against Timpanogos.
Additional results from the slate of games include Bonneville beating Wasatch 21 to 16 and Bountiful defeating Syracuse 36 to 33. Box Elder won 31 to 19 against Highland, while Campbell defeated Pine View 48 to 27. Canyon View beat South Sevier 42 to 20, and Carbon defeated Juan Diego Catholic 37 to 42. Cedar scored 10 points in a 10 to 6 win over Snow Canyon, while Corner Canyon beat Fremont 49 to 0. Crimson Cliffs defeated Cedar Valley 42 to 7, and Duchesne beat Ignacio 73 to 0. Enterprise won 35 to 0 against Milford, and Evanston defeated Ben Lomond 46 to 12.
Grantsville narrowly defeated Manti 47 to 46, and Mountain Crest beat Logan 28 to 26. Herriman achieved a 55 to 7 victory over West Jordan, while Highland defeated Viewmont 45 to 30. Hillcrest beat Cottonwood 51 to 0, and Hurricane won 49 to 21 against Murray. Jordan defeated Deer Creek 13 to 10, and Juab beat South Summit 34 to 13. Layton defeated Clearfield 47 to 0, while Layton Christian Academy beat Kimberly 48 to 7. Lone Peak beat Skyline 45 to 3. Maple Mountain defeated South Pasadena 36 to 14, and Millard beat Parowan 44 to 21. Monticello won 57 to 20 against Water Canyon.
