Stage 2 fire restrictions are now in effect at Palisade State Park, prohibiting all open fires of any kind. This restriction includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any other ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves featuring a shut-off valve remain permitted, provided they are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren and free of flammable vegetation.
Despite the fire restrictions, Palisade State Park remains active with various recreational opportunities. Visitors can access the 18-hole desert canyon golf course, paddle or stroll on the Palisade Reservoir, and utilize camping options for both RVs and tents.
The park also provides access for off-highway vehicle riding in nearby Six-Mile Canyon, along with opportunities for fishing, hiking, and rentals.
The 5 Iron Grill is now open at the park. While menu details and online ordering are coming soon, individuals can call 435-835-4653 for restaurant information.
