The Hurricane City Planning Commission scheduled a public hearing for September 24, 2026, to discuss specific land use amendments, according to a September 11 notice.
The meeting is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Hurricane City Office located at 147 N 870 West.
The hearing will address a Zone Change Amendment request for the property at 1024 N Main St. The request proposes changing the zoning from R1-10, which allows one residential unit per 10,000 square feet, to R1-8, which allows one residential unit per 8,000 square feet.
Additionally, the commission will consider a General Plan Text Amendment request for an area located along the SR-7 corridor between SR-9 and 3000 South.
