Mountain America Credit Union announced July 9, 2026, that it has awarded $40,000 in Show Up for Teachers grants to 40 Utah educators. The funds, distributed through the Mountain America Foundation, are intended to support innovative classroom projects and enhance learning opportunities for students across the state.
Recognition of Educators at Conference
The grant recipients were recognized during the annual Show Up for Teachers conference held at the Mountain America Expo Center. The event brought together more than 2,000 educators from across Utah for a day focused on professional development, networking, and peer support.
Partnership with First Lady Initiative
During the ceremony, Utah First Lady Abby Cox joined Sterling Nielsen, president and CEO of Mountain America Credit Union, to celebrate the educators' commitment to student success. The grant program is a partnership between Mountain America Credit Union and the Show Up for Teachers initiative led by First Lady Cox.
Grant Distribution Details
Each of the 40 selected educators received a $1,000 grant. This year's distribution marks the second year of the Show Up for Teachers Grants program.
