The Maeser Water Improvement District has scheduled a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees for Sept. 10, 2026, according to a Sept. 9 notice. The meeting is set to take place from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at 1063 North 2500 West in Vernal, Utah.
The agenda for the upcoming meeting includes the approval of minutes from the Aug. 13, 2026, meeting and follow-up discussions regarding the Vernal City Annexation protest, a draft personnel policy, and the Painted Hills Well iron removal project. Staff reports are expected to cover new connections, tree trimming completion, and water main repair completion regarding Painted Hills water seepage.
Additional new business items include a discussion on recent surface flooding, 2026 district water usage, a future petition for annexation of Willow Bend Property Co. into Vernal City, and the 2027 budget. The board will also discuss board member training, an EPA Risk and Resilience Assessment, and a proposed 2026 Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement with the Utah Local Government Trust.
The meeting will also feature reports from the Water Right Committee and the Sewer Board. Attendees include Craig Nebeker of Sunrise Engineering and Talon Mortensen of Jones & DeMille Engineering.
