Edgemont Elementary is seeking parents to serve on the School Community Council to help improve school safety and academic performance. According to a notice from Principal Kartchner, one parent position is currently open on the council.
The council consists of parents elected by the student body's parents and school employees elected by fellow employees. Membership terms for the council last two years. To qualify, parent members must have a student attending the school during at least one of the two years of their term.
If multiple candidates apply, elections are scheduled to be held electronically on Sept. 8, 2026. Interested individuals must complete an information form by Friday, Sept. 4, 2026.
