Three different musical journeys are set to converge on one stage for the Utah's Best Country performance on September 18, according to a August 19 report. Whitney Lusk, Chad Truman, and Kate Miller will perform at the Covey Center, bringing stories of career changes and lifelong musical pursuits to the stage.
Whitney Lusk, originally from Spanish Fork, has pursued music since her first vocal recital at age eight. Her musical style draws on storytelling traditions from the 1990s and early 2000s, incorporating Western influences and classic rock. Lusk has noted that her connection to the mountain West helps her find inspiration for her music.
Kate Miller and Chad Truman perform together as the duo WILDWOOD. Miller previously worked at a top law firm in Washington, D.C., before leaving her legal career to commit to music full-time in Nashville. Truman, a Nashville native and professional musician, stated that his faith and desire to be a positive role model drive his musical work.
The duo WILDWOOD has performed throughout Utah and Idaho, sharing stages with artists such as Walker Hayes, Diamond Rio, Deana Carter, and Colin Raye. Miller has also been a member of BYU Noteworthy and a lead singer for the band Music City Groove.
The upcoming Covey Center performance features artists whose experiences include childhood dreams, significant career shifts, and lifelong musical connections.
