The Lehi High School girls soccer team is set to open their season this Tuesday, Aug. 4, with a game at Bountiful. This matchup marks the beginning of the team's efforts to start the season strong.
The upcoming soccer match occurs as the broader fall sports year gets underway. While local high school students are not scheduled to enter classrooms until Aug. 19, athletic competitions are already beginning.
In other recent athletic developments, Lehi High School has made several coaching appointments. Riley White has been named the head baseball coach, Bailey Flinders has been appointed as the head swim team coach, and Qi’Sean Rust has taken over as the head girls basketball coach.
The Lehi High School community recently participated in an annual football fundraising dinner and auction held on Aug. 1. This event preceded the kickoff of football games scheduled for Aug. 7.
Lehi athletes have also received individual recognition. Gracie Tait, a 12th-grade track athlete, was named athlete of the month following her performance in javelin, sprints, and relays. Additionally, 11th-grader Peter Phillips was recognized for his tennis performance, having reached the semifinals of the 6A state tournament.
