The Washington Terrace City Council will hold a special town hall meeting to discuss a proposed 2026 property tax increase, according to a July 22 notice. The meeting, focused on Truth-in-Taxation, aims to provide education regarding the proposed tax increase and its intended use for law enforcement services.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at 5249 South 400 East, Washington Terrace, UT 84405. The agenda includes a presentation by City Manager Tom Hanson on how property taxes work and the impact of the proposed tax increase. Additionally, the Weber County Sheriff Office will participate to discuss the use of the tax increase for law enforcement services.
